Go Ultra Low
Motorists in the UK are buying more electric vehicles than ever, with the latest figures confirming a 22nd continual quarterly rise in plug-in car uptake. The fleet industry continues to lead the way, with 72% of new plug in cars registered to fleets. With 940,000 company car drivers in the UK there is obviously huge potential for growth in this market.
The aim of Go Ultra Low is to increase awareness of electric vehicles by helping motorists understand the benefits, cost savings and capabilities of the wide range of vehicles on the market. The campaign educates both public and fleet audiences by addressing outdated myths and highlighting benefits, including how they offer competitive practicality for both private and business users.
For public and private sector organisations that already use EVs, or offer them to employees as company cars, Go Ultra Low has launched the Go Ultra Low Companies initiative, recognising organisations that are leading the electric motoring revolution. There is just one stipulation; EVs must make up at least 5% of your vehicle fleet by or will by 2020.
